MAJOR COMPLETED PROJECTS HANDED OVER TO COMMUNITIES IN KRACHI EAST.

The Krachi East Municipal Assembly, in collaboration with the Member of Parliament for Krachi East Constituency, Hon. Nelson Kofi Djabab, has handed over a number of major completed development projects to the people of Krachi East Municipality.
The handover exercise, which took place from 16th to 17th September 2026, formed part of efforts by the Municipal Assembly and the Member of Parliament to improve basic social infrastructure and enhance the living conditions of residents in beneficiary communities.
The projects handed over included mechanized boreholes, CHPS compounds, teachers’ bungalows and completed classroom blocks.
Among the beneficiary communities were Kpachiri, Monkrate and Kpelema, where residents expressed their appreciation for the projects and described them as important interventions that would contribute significantly to the development and wellbeing of their communities.
The Municipal Chief Executive for Krachi East, Hon. Safo Nketiah, together with the Member of Parliament for Krachi East Constituency, Hon. Nelson Kofi Djabab, led the handover activities.
Speaking during the exercise, the officials emphasized the importance of ensuring that the facilities are properly maintained and used for their intended purposes. They also encouraged community members to take ownership of the projects and work closely with the relevant authorities to ensure their sustainability.
The mechanized boreholes are expected to improve access to potable water, while the CHPS compounds will strengthen access to basic healthcare services in the beneficiary communities. The classroom blocks and teachers’ bungalows are also expected to improve the learning environment and accommodation for teachers.
The handover of the projects demonstrates the commitment of the Municipal Assembly and the Member of Parliament to addressing key developmental needs in Krachi East and bringing essential services closer to the people.
The beneficiary communities expressed their gratitude to the authorities and called for continued support towards the provision of additional infrastructure and social amenities across the Municipality.
