A two-day Budget Committee Meeting was held at the Krachi East Municipal Assembly Hall from 1st to 2nd October 2026, bringing together the Municipal Coordinating Director, heads of departments and units, and other relevant stakeholders to deliberate on key budgetary matters of the Municipality.

The meeting, which commenced on Thursday, 1st October 2026, at 9:00 a.m., provided a platform for members of the Budget Committee to review, discuss and make inputs into the Municipality’s budget and development priorities.

The Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr. Eric B. D. Agbo, was present at the meeting together with heads of departments and units of the Assembly.

Discussions focused on the identification of priority programmes and projects, resource allocation, departmental plans, and measures to improve the effective implementation of the Assembly’s development agenda.

The meeting also provided an opportunity for the various departments and units to present their inputs and engage in discussions aimed at ensuring that the Municipality’s budget reflects the needs and aspirations of its residents.

The two-day meeting ended on Friday, 2nd October 2026, with members emphasizing the need for effective collaboration, prudent use of public resources, and proper implementation of approved programmes and projects.

The meeting forms part of the Assembly’s efforts to strengthen participatory planning and ensure that the development priorities of Krachi East Municipality are adequately captured in the budgeting process.
