The Education, Youth and Sport Directorate primarily assists in the formulation and implementation of policies on education in the Assembly within the framework of national policies and guidelines.
Additionally, it plays an advisory role in the Assembly on matters relating to pre-school, primary, Junior High Schools and other referred related matters.
The department also encourages and reports on implementation of policies and matters relating to basic education in accordance with report format provided by the Ministry of Education.
Submit reports on activities of the Directorate to the Regional Education Directorate and the Municipal Assembly.
The Municipal Education Directorate shall collaborate with the Municipal Assembly to ensure that basic education, including non-formal education, is available to meet the needs of the population of the Municipal.
