The purpose of the meeting was to enable the ORCC facilitate the signing and collation of Sub[1]Grant Agreements/Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Ministry of Local Government, Decentralization and Rural Development (MLGDRD) and the beneficiary Municipal and Districts Assemblies in the Oti region under the Gulf of Guinea Northern Regions Social Cohesion (SOCO) project. The Sub-Grant Agreement spells out the roles and responsibilities of each party throughout the implementation of SOCO Pursuant to provisions in the Financing Agreement signed between the Government of Ghana and the International Development Association (IDA).
The signing started at 11:11am on Wednesday, 5th April, 2023 at the Office of the Regional Coordinating Director. Nkwanta South Municipal Assembly was the first to sign the MoU, followed by Nkwanta North District Assembly, Krachi West Municipal Assembly and Krachi East Municipal Assembly respectively.
