INTRODUCTION AND TRAINING EXERCISE FOR VETERINARY OFFICERS ON DISEASE REPORTING USING A NEW SOFTWARE INTRODUCED BY VETERINARY SERVICE DIRECTORATE IN COLLABORATION WITH FOOD AND AGRICULTURE DEPARTMENT.

The new software will help to improve disease reporting for early warning and quick response to mitigate diseases in Ghana. The officers were introduced and briefed on the features of the software as well as the steps to take when filling out information on the system.
Twenty-two (22) officers were trained on how to use the software and the training exercise will continue later to ensure the effectiveness and proper use of the system.
The presentation was handled by Dr. Thompson, Mr. Rubeen Nusenu and Dr. Patrick Akadi (Regional Veterinary Officer for Oti and Volta) supported by The Regional Agric. Director, Mr. Obrien Nyarko (Oti Region).
