SKILLS FOR EMPLOYABLE AND PRODUCTIVE (STEP) PROGRAMME, KEMA.
Krachi East Municipal Assembly is beneficiary of the World Bank Sponsoring Skills for Employable and Productive (STEP) Programme, which is an artisanal skill training programme tailored for skilled, semi-skilled and unskilled youth in Ghana, to enable them take advantage of the employment and entrepreneurial opportunities in areas such as cosmetology (make-up), tailoring, hair dressing and satellite dish installation.
Currently, 20 beneficiaries have been trained in these four areas in the Municipality.
Hon. Dr. Joshua Makubu, Oti Regional Minister, Issahaku Yakubu, Coordinating Municipal Director (MCD) of Krachi East Municipal Assembly, Hon. Pius Enam Hadzide, CEO of The National Youth Authority and Nana Kwaku Beyonor II graced the programme successfully and donated hair dryer, drilling machine, sewing machine and many others to the beneficiaries of the STEP programme.
