The Krachi East Municipal Assembly has successfully signed a Performance Contract with the Oti Regional Coordinating Council (RCC) as part of efforts to strengthen accountability, enhance service delivery, and improve local governance within the Municipality.

The Performance Contract signing ceremony took place on Thursday, 5th February 2026, and brought together key stakeholders from both the Regional and Municipal levels of administration. Present at the event were the Oti Regional Minister, the Oti Regional Coordinating Director, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Krachi East, the Municipal Coordinating Director, the Municipal Human Resource Manager, the Municipal Management Information Systems (MIS) Officer, as well as representatives from various Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies (MMDAs) across the Oti Region.

In his address, the Oti Regional Minister underscored the importance of performance contracting as a critical tool for promoting efficiency, transparency, and results-oriented public service delivery. He encouraged all MMDAs to remain committed to the objectives outlined in the contract and to work collaboratively towards achieving measurable development outcomes.

The Municipal Chief Executive of Krachi East reaffirmed the Assembly’s commitment to meeting the targets set out in the Performance Contract. He emphasized that the agreement would serve as a guide for monitoring progress, improving institutional performance, and ensuring that development priorities of the Municipality are effectively implemented.

The signing of the Performance Contract forms part of the Government’s broader public sector reform agenda aimed at strengthening decentralization and improving performance management across all MMDAs in the country.
