MUNICIPAL STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT ON LEAP REASSESSMENT OUTCOMES AND NEXT STEPS

On 14th January 2026, the Municipal Assembly convened a stakeholder engagement meeting as part of preparations for the LEAP Reassessment Training, focusing on sub-national coordination, reassessment outcomes, and subsequent implementation steps involving political and administrative actors.
The meeting was chaired by the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Hon. Eric B. D. Agbo, and attended by the Presiding Member (PM), Hon. Safo Nkakia, together with key municipal leadership and partner institutions.
Participants included representatives from the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE), Social Welfare and Community Development (SW/CD), Information Services Department (ISD), Ghana Police Service (GPS), the Chairman of the Social Services Sub-Committee, the Municipal Statistician, and Municipal Planning Officers.
Discussions centered on the Sub-National Stakeholder Engagement on LEAP Reassessment Outcomes, highlighting the roles of political and administrative actors in ensuring transparency, accuracy, and accountability throughout the reassessment process. The engagement also outlined next steps to strengthen inter-agency collaboration, improve data validation, and enhance effective implementation of the LEAP Programme at the municipal level.
The meeting reaffirmed the Assembly’s commitment to inclusive governance, institutional collaboration, and social protection delivery, in line with national social intervention objectives.
