Breast cancer awareness month is set aside every year in October to create awareness on the menance of the disease, through public education and screening for early detection and treatment.

Krachi East Municipal Health Directorate in collaboration with Smiling Heart Foundation (NGO) organized a two day breast cancer awareness, education and screening which began on Friday 21^st to Saturday 22^nd October, 2022. The sensitization and screening was organized at the Dambai College of Education for students, staff and the general public.

The campaign and awareness program was supported by The Municipal Assembly, Ghana Immigration Service, Ghana Fire Service, NADMO, Ambulance Service, Ghana Police Service, GES, Information Service Department, Christian Council, Muslim Representatives, Traditional leaders, Heads of Institutions, Assembly Members, Women Group and Media houses.
